The 2018 C&RT Easter Boat Gathering promises a richly varied and exciting line up of music, family and boat activity. The lively long weekend will include a fine folk programme combined with inspirational workshops and museum activities for all ages.
On Friday evening, David Lowe, well known to us as Chairman of the Commercial Boat Operators Association (CBOA) will be speaking on “Modern Freight Carrying by Water”.
During the weekend there will be opportunities for visitors to have “Behind the Scenes” explorations of the boat store in Rossfield Road where the vessels raised from the top basin are being stored and worked on. There will also be the usual tours of the Lime Shed and the wider site.
Music and performance is integral to our waterways heritage and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back in 2018.
We look forward to a memorable weekend.
