We would love to meet you and give you a personal tour of our marina and show you exactly how we can benefit you and your narrowboat.
Set in 100 acres of farmland, Aqueduct Marina offers moorings conveniently placed for exploring in all directions.
At the heart of the Cheshire ring, located just north of Nantwich, on the popular Shropshire Union Canal, it is just two locks from both the junctions to the Trent and Mersey Canal and the breath-taking Llangollen Canal.
Onsite we offer numerous services in general maintenance including: Winterisation, Valeting and Electrical checks. We also undertake repairs to your on-board fittings and equipment including new appliance fitting and restoration tasks.
Looking after your engine and servicing regularly is an essential part of keeping you moving efficiently and ensures trouble-free cruising.
Our engine service consists of a 20 point check of your engine and associated equipment. A written report will be provided, indicating the condition of your engine.
We offer a full range of engine services from oil changes through to full engine refits and stern gear work. Engines we service include: Beta, Gardener, Vetus, Isuzu, Canal Line, Barrus, Craftsman, BMC plus many more – just ask!
Aqueduct Marina has engineers proficient in installing and maintaining all of your water and gas requirements. Our onsite staff are fully conservant with the requirements of safe systems and can advise you on any aspects of your setup.
On completion of any work we can arrange for an independent gas-safe registered engineer to come and check your boat and provide you with a gas safety certificate. Aqueduct can check your existing installation, fit new multi-fuel or diesel stoves, the appropriate fireproof surrounds and insulated flues.
Over the last few years, solar panels have become the #1 requested upgrade for new boat owners.
This is due to the fact they reduce your running costs whilst keep your batteries fully charged.
Our experienced team are on hand to offer advice and support for complete solar solutions through to individual components.
Aqueduct Marina can arrange for a qualified electrical engineer to carry out small repairs through to full inspections.
Electrical work DIAG from £100.00 an hour
If you would like a quote for any narrowboat engineering work, please get in touch with us by calling 01270 525040 or filling in our online form below.
As well as the wiring of your boat, the electrical equipment installed needs to be looked after properly, issues diagnosed correctly and efficiently. Our Engineers are familiar with all the equipment fitted to narrowboats including that supplied by Mastervolt, Sterling, Victron and many others. The biggest cause of early battery failure is inefficient charging and alternators are a key component. We can check your charging regime independently or your whole installation and if necessary, recommend improvements.
Galvanic corrosion is a major risk to your boat and very costly if corrosion develops to an advanced stage. Aqueduct offer a consultative service to inspect your boat, advise on galvanic protection measures and resolve equipment anomalies. Our service at Aqueduct or by appointment anywhere in the country can be arranged by our Management Team.
We would like to thank all Aqueduct staff for making the mooring of Maudette at Aqueduct Marina such an easy and pleasureable experience. It is the staff that sets Aqueduct Marina apart from others we have visited, there is always someone available and willing to help or answer questions.
