We can provide a full range of market-leading products and solutions for your hull. Our experienced staff can assess your boat and advise on the most suitable hull blacking for your budget.
Once your boat is here at Aqueduct Marina and is out of the water, your hull will be steam cleaned in preparation. Our Yard Foreman will then inspect the surface of the hull and advise on obvious issues.
Improve the longevity of your hull by speaking to a member of the Aqueduct Marina team about our advanced grit blasting and 2 pac epoxy solutions. This proven process protects your investment, offers peace of mind and increases the long term value of your boat.
This is achieved by grit blasting preparation and hard-wearing 2 pac epoxy coatings. Grit blasting provides the perfect base, ensuring a quality finish that will last. This particular method has a life expectancy of 8-10 years and is far more durable than your traditional coatings.
Our sprayed application is at least 150 microns thick and in most cases, up to 200 microns. In comparison, an average roller coat of paint will be 40 microns thick, therefore 2 coats will be 80 microns. (Microns are the standard unit for measuring paint thickness, the more paint essentially means more protection)
Upon completion, you will receive a set of full test results including; grit blasting profile, paint thickness (DTF) and repaint template. This will be invaluable if you ever choose to sell your boat.
Providing a higher level of durability and protection these leading products are market recognised for their quality and can be carried out from start to finish in approximately 7 days.
Steam cleaning takes place prior to wire brushing and the bitumen is applied manually. Aqueduct Marina offer fixed rates for this service or alternatively, you can rent space on the hard standing and do it yourself.
