SUMMARY:The Nantwich Jazz Festival
DESCRIPTION:Starting the Festival on Thursday 29th March is a fabulous evening at Nantwich Civic with former Squeeze member Glenn Tilbrook in a solo performance with support from Dennis Greaves & Mark Feltham of Nine Below Zero.. \nFriday 30th March  Thea Gilmore make a hotly anticipated return to The Civic.   The Crown hosts a special performance by Both Sides Now at The Crown Hotel who present a homage to the Joni Mitchell Songbook. \nA real Blues treat is on the cards for Saturday 31st March with the now annual triple bill at The Civic.  Canvey Island’s most famous sons\, Dr Feelgood play their high-speed Rhythm & Blues\, The Climax Blues Band celebrate 50 years together and stepping up from a previous Round the Town roster Walklate and Fuschi perform their engaging acoustic set. \nBack again on Sunday 1st April is probably the hardest working band in the UK. The Jive Aces will be filling the dance floor with their signature yellow suits and highly entertaining vintage swing repertoire ably supported by local Roackabilly heroes VaVoom. \nEaster Monday has 2 gigs on the programme.  Back by popular demand and with a rich Festival history\, Nearly Dan take to the stage in the Studio Venue in the late afternoon.  Not so much a tribute but an homage to the great Steely Dan this one sells out quickly.  Over in The Civic and featuring original artistes Brian Poole\, Mike Pender\, Dave Berry and Vanity Fare\, the “Oh Boy ! It’s the non-stop sixties” show closes the festival. \n“Around the Town” goes from strength to strength.  We introduce a fabulous 9 piece soul band\, Brassmonkees on Nantwich Square on Saturday and Festival venues will be hosting gigs from Thursday evening right through until late on Easter Monday”.  The full Around the Town line up will be announced in the New Year. \nNantwich Jazz Blues & Music Festival has been held over Easter every year since 1997\, will be from 29th March ‘til 2nd April 2018 and looks forwards to welcoming music fans old and new. \nFor more details please see the Nantwich Jazz Festival website.

DESCRIPTION:The 2018 C&RT Easter Boat Gathering promises a richly varied and exciting line up of music\, family and boat activity. The lively long weekend will include a fine folk programme combined with inspirational workshops and museum activities for all ages. \nOn Friday evening\, David Lowe\, well known to us as Chairman of the Commercial Boat Operators Association (CBOA) will be speaking on “Modern Freight Carrying by Water”. \nDuring the weekend there will be opportunities for visitors to have “Behind the Scenes” explorations of the boat store in Rossfield Road where the vessels raised from the top basin are being stored and worked on. There will also be the usual tours of the Lime Shed and the wider site. \nMusic and performance is integral to our waterways heritage and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back in 2018. \nWe look forward to a memorable weekend. \nFor more details please visit the Canal and River Trust website.

DESCRIPTION:The 2018 Boat Share Show\, the country’s biggest\, will have all the major professional boat management companies taking part. \nThe show provides a unique opportunity for prospective owners to talk to the companies about their services and to compare many different styles of boat. There will be many shared ownership narrowboats to see\, all with shares available. \nIt will also offer those self-managed syndicates thinking about using a management company the chance to chat to them all in the one place.
